Todd’s practice is concentrated in appellate litigation. He has worked on various civil appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Eighth, and Ninth Circuits, and in state appellate courts in California, New York, Oregon, and West Virginia. Todd’s education background includes, Columbia Law School; J.D., honors 2002; and Brigham Young University, B.A., Major in Philosophy, Minor in Japanese and Business, 1999.
Susan Drummy Vice Chair, Orange County Head Start, Inc. Director of Accounting & Investor Relations Turner Real Estate Investment
Susan has been involved in Turner Development Corporation’s strategic financial planning and oversight of daily operations since 1987. Susan is responsible for project and corporate cash flows, budgeting and all aspects of the firm’s commercial real estate, development, accounting and reporting. Prior to joining Turner Development Corporation, Susan was a principal in a software firm. Susan graduated from the California State University, Fullerton.
Paula Mathis Secretary, Orange County Head Start, Inc. Community Volunteer
Paula has been an active volunteer in Orange County since 1995. In 1999, Paula launched Success by 6 (SB6). SB6 is a United Way program whose mission is to improve the care, health and development of children from birth to age six. Paula has also served on the United Way International Board of Directors since 2007. Paula is retired. She is the former Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and founder of SMA&A, Inc. She has a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of California, San Francisco and has resided in Orange County for over 22 years.
Matthew VanEck Treasurer, Orange County Head Start, Inc. Certified General Real Estate Appraiser FMV Opinions, Inc.
Matthew is a manager with FMV Opinions, Inc. He performs real estate valuation and analysis on assignments within the firm’s real estate valuation group. Matthew entered the field of commercial real estate in 2005. Prior to joining FMV, Matthew was a broker’s assistant with Merrill Lynch and held a market research assistant position for Midwest Research in Manhattan Beach, California. Matthew graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts- Economics in 2004.

Miriam is extremely involved in her children’s education. Miriam has been associated with Orange County Head Start for over five years and has had the opportunity to participate as a parent advocate. Miriam is furthering her education in Human Services at Cypress College.

Rebecca Hernandez Manager Help Me Grow Orange County
Rebecca develops and oversees all components of the Help Me Grow Orange County program and is responsible for a three year contract and budget of nearly $3M. Help Me Grow Orange County connects children and their families to developmental services to enhance the behavior, learning and development of children birth through five years. Rebecca has a Masters of Science in Education from Wheelock College, Boston, Massachusetts, and a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University in Human Biology/Child Development.

The firm's main corporate office is located in Tustin, with additional offices in San Diego, Santa Maria, and San Luis Obispo. Though the firm's primary focus has been the design of school facilities in the K-12 world, Westberg + White also designs public facilities for cities, counties, and several airport authorities in California. Paul's focus has been the creation of learning environments for the educational student. He also provides assistance on financial planning for districts interested creating new and exciting facilities for their communities. Paul has been successful in assisting districts in acquiring voter approvals for more than 20 General Obligation Bonds. Paul has been a resident of Orange County for 36 years.
Dr. Cathy Wietstock, Ed.D Administrator, Instructional Services Orange County Department of Education
Cathy currently works as an Administrator of Instruction Services for the Orange County Department of Education. She works with programs and services that support students Preschool through College (P-16). Some of her professional assignments and activities include District Assistance and Intervention Team (DAIT); Director for Early Intervention for School Success (EISS); Executive Board member, Latino Education Attainment, Orange County Business Council; Preschool English Learner Guide state trainer; and Board member for CREER: Communitidad y Familia. Cathy has been a professional educator for over 29 years and has taught both at the K-12 and college levels. She is a National Board Certified Teacher, Early Childhood Generalist. Cathy received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at California State University Fullerton in 2010.
Susie Valdez President and Co-Owner One Great Town, Inc
Susie Valdez is the President and Co-Owner of One Great Town, Inc., which provides learning opportunities and supports collaboration for early care and education professionals at all levels and in all settings. She is also a tenured professor in the Department of Human Development at Santa Ana College. Susie started in the early childhood field as a preschool cook and has been a teacher’s aide, master teacher, and director of small and large centers in the southern California area. She is a local and state-wide speaker and trainer on multiple topics including DAP and play, observation and assessment, classroom teaching strategies, workforce training and professional growth, adult-child interaction, and classroom environment and transitioning. She is currently the Past-President of the Orange County Association for the Education of Young Children (OCAEYC), an executive board member of the California Community College Early Childhood Educators, and a California Alignment Project Regional Lead. She has worked with a wide variety of agencies and organizations throughout southern California on community needs assessments and program evaluations.

Trisha is a member of the OCHS Community Relations Committee and focuses on bridging local business, community, corporate and social responsibility programs with Orange County Head Start objectives. Trisha is an executive at Accenture in the Management Consulting practice with over 14 years of experience leading transformational change programs and managing delivery of enterprise-wide initiatives for Fortune 500 companies. Trisha earned her Bachelor of Arts at American University in Washington D.C. with a Major in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics and Government (CLEG) and Minor in Business.
