OFFICERS Paula has been an active volunteer in Orange County since 1995. In 1999, Paula launched Success by 6 (SB6). SB6 is a United Way program whose mission is to improve the care, health and development of children from birth to age 6. Paula has also served on the United Way International (UWI) Board of Directors since 2007. Paula is retired. She is the former Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and founder of SMA&A, Inc. She has a Doctorate of Pharmacy from University of California, San Francisco and has resided in Orange County for over 22 years.
Todd’s practice is concentrated in appellate litigation. He has worked on various civil appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Eighth, and Ninth Circuits, and in state appellate courts in California, New York, Oregon, and West Virginia. Todd’s education background includes, Columbia Law School (J.D., honors 2002), Brigham Young University (B.A., Major in Philosophy, Minor in Japanese and Business, 1999).
Maggie has 19 years of diverse experience in the mortgage industry, business relations and, her banking background includes business development and marketing.
Susan has been involved in Turner Development Corporation’s strategic financial planning and oversight of daily operations since 1987. Susan is responsible for project and corporate cash flows, budgeting and all aspects of the firm’s commercial real estate, development, accounting and reporting. Prior to joining Turner Development Corporation, Susan was a Principal in a software firm. Susan graduated from the California State University, Fullerton.
Anita has been a resident of Orange County for over 39 years with extensive volunteer work with non-profits from 1991 to present, including United Way, United Cerebral Palsy Association and Canyon Acres Children and Family Services. Anita graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a (History major and Business minor).
Russell Bell
Russell is an independent marketing communications and public relations consultant who specializes in helping corporations and organizations generate better awareness and sales of their goods and services. His areas of expertise include consumer products, consumer and corporate technology applications, sports marketing organizations and non-profit groups supporting environmental, law enforcement and military services. Russell is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
Rebecca develops and oversees all components of the Help Me Grow Orange County program and is responsible for a three year contract and budget of nearly $3M. Help Me Grow Orange County connects children and their families to developmental services to enhance the behavior, learning and development of children birth through five years. Rebecca has a Masters of Science in Education from Wheelock College, Boston, Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Arts: Human Biology/Child Development from Stanford University, Palo Alto, California.
Tu-Quyen currently works for Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, L.L.P. as an associate. Tu-Quyen practices in environmental law, immigration law, intellectual property law and general commercial litigation matters. Tu-Quyen graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (J.D., May 2008) and from the University of California – Irvine (Bachelor of Science – Information & Computer Science 2004).
Matthew is a Manager with FMV Opinions, Inc. He performs real estate valuation and analysis on assignments within the firm’s real estate valuation group. Mr. VanEck entered the field of commercial real estate in 2005. Prior to joining FMV, Matthew was a broker’s assistant with Merrill Lynch and held a market research assistant position for Midwest Research in Manhattan Beach, California. Matthew graduated from the University of Southern California (Bachelor of Arts- Economics) in 2004.
Mr. Westberg is the Managing Partner of a 4 office, 25 year old, 60 person architecture and planning Firm serving 37 school districts throughout California. The Firm's main Corporate office is located in Tustin, with additional offices in San Diego, Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo. Though the Firm's primary focus has been the design of school facilities in the K-12 world, Westberg + White also designs public facilities for Cities, Counties and several Airport Authorities in California. Mr. Westberg's focus has been the creation and learning environments of the educational student and the assistance of appropriate financial planning for each district as they go forward creating new and exciting facilities for their communities. Cathy currently works for the Orange County Department of Education as a Manager of Instruction Services. Professional Assignments and Activities include – District Assistance and Intervention Team, School Assistance Intervention Team, Executive Board member – Latino Education Attainment, Orange County Business Council, Preschool English Learner Guide – state trainer, and Board member for CREER: Communitidad y Familia. Education background includes a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology from the University of California, Irvine (1981) and Master of Arts, Education, United States International University, La Jolla (1991). Cathy is currently a Doctorate candidate for Educational Leadership, Fullerton, CA. |
